About the Author

I grew up in a large family in rural central Montana. My father was a storyteller and his reading of novels by Tolkien, George MacDonald and others as bedtime stories instilled in me a love of all things magic and mystical. My siblings and I would play in the woods along the Sun River, creating games as grand as the stories our father read to us. I began writing as a teenager and never stopped. Boxes of notebooks, maps, and art stacked up. In my early 30’s I began pulling them out to transpose them from the fading pages to a digital format. Princes and Priests (~255,000 words) was self-published as a trilogy for family and friends.

Princes and Priests was followed by a second trilogy, Emperors and Exiles, and single books, Regent’s Way and Princes of Purt. Fate of Angels has been written and is awaiting final editing. All of these are within The Novels of Shannon series.

The next series, The Dragons of Va’haden, is well underway with By Wing, By Wild, & By Wisdom completed and The Keeper and the King nearing completion.

In addition to the epic fantasy novels mentioned, a number of shorter works have been written, including Permaculture for Kids, a non-fiction picture book, and several short stories.
